Home / How It Works

How it works.

No contracts to decode, no surprise pricing. Four steps, and then you stop thinking about it.

01

You reach out

Tell me about your home and what you're hoping for. Form, text, or a phone call — whatever's easiest for you.

02

I come see it

A free walkthrough, in person, about twenty minutes. I look at your actual house, ask how you live in it, and give you a real number. No obligation.

03

The first clean

Usually a little deeper than the ones after it, so everything starts from the same place. I'll tell you upfront if it needs the extra time.

04

We find a rhythm

Weekly, every other week, monthly, or whenever you need me. I learn your home, and it stops being something you manage.

The Bluegrass Home Co. welcome packet: a branded notebook, welcome letter, and business card

Your first visit

You'll get a welcome packet.

“Your Home. Your Clean.”

Every new client gets a folder with a note from me, a home notebook where I keep track of your preferences, and my card. It sounds small. It's the reason you only ever have to tell me something once.

Every home deserves thoughtful care. Whether you're looking for a one-time refresh or recurring maintenance, we'll build a plan around your home, your lifestyle, and your priorities.

Questions

Everything people ask me.

Do I need to be home?

Not at all — most of my clients aren't. Whatever you're comfortable with works: a key, a garage code, a lockbox, or letting me in yourself. Whatever we set up, it stays between us, and I'll always text you when I arrive and when I lock up.

Do you bring your own supplies?

Yes, everything — products, cloths, vacuum, mop, all of it. If you'd rather I use something specific of yours, just leave it out and tell me. Some people have a floor cleaner they love, and I'm happy to use it.

Are the products safe for pets and kids?

Yes. I use plant-based, low-fragrance products as my default in every home, and I'm careful about what gets used near food surfaces and pet bowls. If anyone in your house has a sensitivity or allergy, tell me at the walkthrough and I'll adjust.

Are you insured and bonded?

Yes — fully insured and bonded. I'm happy to send you a copy of the certificate before your first visit, and I'd encourage you to ask any cleaner you're considering for the same.

What does it cost?

It depends on your home, which is why I look at it before quoting rather than guessing from square footage online. As a rough guide, recurring visits start around $145, monthly around $185, and deep cleans around $325. You'll have your exact number before anything is scheduled.

How far do you travel?

Mount Washington is home base, and I regularly work in Shepherdsville, Taylorsville, Fisherville, Hillview, Brooks, Jeffersontown, and Cox's Creek — generally anywhere within about 25 minutes. If you're a little outside that, ask anyway. I'd rather tell you yes.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. There's no contract and no cancellation fee. If it isn't working, tell me and we'll stop. I'd rather you stay because you want to.

What if I need to reschedule?

Life happens — just give me 48 hours if you can and there's no charge at all. Shorter than that and I'll still do my best to move things around; I only ask because a last-minute cancellation usually means an empty half-day I can't fill.

What if something isn't right?

Tell me within 24 hours and I'll come back and fix it, free. No forms, no argument. I'd much rather know than have you quietly decide not to book again.

Can I add organizing or home care to a cleaning visit?

Absolutely, and it's usually the most efficient way to do it since I'm already there. Just let me know ahead of time so I can block the extra hours.

Still have a question?

Text me. I answer these myself.
